Upcoming.

I've completed the first draft of the battle dramatization, and the action has a name - The Battle of Viehdorf Mill.
*
The Duke of Wellington once said something to the effect of "Trying to describe a battle is like trying to describe the motions of everybody present at a grand ball." I've got some idea of what the old boy meant! Will kindly supplied a wealth of information about this clash, along with some excellent photos. I've followed the action through, writing dramatic vignettes to illustrate each scene. Mary Amadeus plays her part. The word-count at the moment is a trifle over 11,000. Editing should alter this. I'm not sure how much of a download blogspot can take in one go. I may have to post the account in two parts instead of one. Would my audience tolerate this? Inquiring minds need to know..!

Breaking down the story might be helpful, from the blogger help

Size of Posts: Individual posts do not have a specific size limit, but very large posts may run you up against the page size limit. (See the next item.)

Size of Pages: Individual pages (the main page of your blog, or your archive pages) are limited to 1 MB in size. This will allow for a few hundred pages of text, but it may be a problem if you are listing hundreds of posts on the front page of your blog. If you hit this limit, you will see an error message saying "006 Please contact Blogger Support." You can get around this error by lowering the number of posts on your main page, which will have the added benefit of making your page load faster as well.

Hmm, thanks for the info. Will. I think I'll break the action down into four chapters with photos.

With my short attention span I think breaking it down into 4 chapters (with photos) sounds good :-)

I say 10 chapters of about a thousand words each!

(Oh, and a cliffhanger in each one, of course.)
